Welcome to Our Community

We are here to support you as you educate your children. We have classes from preschool through high school. We offer field trips, community events, parent support, park meet-ups, clubs, and tutorial classes. This means we are not a co-op, but we are a community. Each family is expected to contribute in a flexible way of their choosing (class assistant, cleaning, coordinating field trips, hosting events, or contributing to our scholarship fund). Parents are not required to teach, as we hire teachers. If you are a teacher or have interesting skills, you may enjoy working for us, as it is part-time.

Our classes run on Tuesdays, with a floating second, or often third event on another day of the week. We run most clubs on Thursdays, and most field trips on Fridays. We try our best to offer a mix of paid and free events to make our community more accessible to all who are interested. Take one class, join just for the field trips, or do it all.

Our members love science. We believe in evolution and climate change. We welcome LGBTQIA+ community members. We usually have windows open and air purifiers on, as we respect each other. If you are sick, we ask that you stay home, and if you are still coughing to wear a mask, as we have some medically compromised community members and we want to keep them safe. We are a community with diverse non-faith and faith-based backgrounds, as we believe diversity is an asset.

We are here for your kids & you. As you look forward to your homeschooling year, please remember that self-care is important as you sustain yourself in this demanding job of homeschooling. Sign your kids up for something interesting and take a moment for yourself. Find some friends, take a walk, or get some work done (we have a room reserved for that).

We thrive on community-suggested ideas.
